Festival crowd surge risk
— Sussex.

[ The Challenge ]

A Sussex outdoor event grew from 3,200 attendees to 11,600 in a single year. The previous crowd plan handled the smaller number; the new headliner set a hard chokepoint between mainstage and vendor row.

[ Our Approach ]

We ran a MassMotion crowd-flow simulation, redesigned the mainstage egress into two 4.2-metre channels, staffed 22 wristband and access positions with certified event supervisors, and staged AED-equipped medical liaison at both ends of the chokepoint.

[ Outcome ]
  • 01Zero recordable crowd-crush incidents across three performance nights
  • 02Ambulance NB liaison response held under 3 minutes for all seven medical calls
  • 03Event repeat-booked us on a three-year exclusive
