Copper and tool theft on active build
— Hanwell.
[ The Challenge ]
A mid-rise construction project in Hanwell lost copper wire, hand tools and diesel across four separate weekend events over eight weeks. Site fencing was intact but the perimeter was not observed.
[ Our Approach ]
Two-officer overnight gatehouse post plus twin mobile-CCTV solar towers with 24/7 analytics-triggered remote monitoring. Paint-tagged copper and welded rebar cage on the pad-mount transformer. Direct dispatch line to RCMP J Division opened.
[ Outcome ]
- 01Losses reduced from ~$18,400/mo to zero within three weeks
- 02One arrest and one prosecution supported with our CCTV pull
- 03General contractor renewed the contract on the next four project phases
