Overnight break-and-enter attempt
— Dalhousie.
[ The Challenge ]
A commercial property in Dalhousie recorded three attempted forced-entry events over five nights, all between 02:00 and 04:30. Adjacent CCTV was old, alarm was armed inconsistently, and the tenant mix was retail plus light industrial.
[ Our Approach ]
We deployed a 4-hour randomized mobile patrol from 22:00 to 06:00 with GPS-verified check-ins, replaced the aged CCTV with two 5MP analytics-capable units on remote monitoring, and rewrote the arming protocol so the alarm was mandatory-armed inside a 60-second grace after last exit.
[ Outcome ]
- 01Zero further intrusion attempts across the following 180 nights
- 02Full CCTV timeline delivered to RCMP for the original three attempts
- 03Insurance-renewal deductible reduced 23% at policy anniversary
